The Louisiana Melon Run is very similar to a traditional “Poker Run,” with the exception that the winning “hand” is the total points added together from collected cards. The ride is approximately 100 miles long and includes a pre-determined amount of stops. At each stop, participants draw a unique card in a sealed envelope. Once all envelopes are collected, participants return them to the registration tent. All participants’ envelopes are then opened and their points are tallied. 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place prizes are awarded, along with various doorprizes.

Check-in and on-site registration will begin at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2008. The registration tent will be located off of Main Street, near the Courthouse Square, in Farmerville (Look for signs). The first bike out may leave after registering,  and the last bike out will be no later than 10:00 A.M. Winners will be announced shortly after the last bike returns, no later than 1:00 P.M.
